ABOUT ME
I’m José Narciso, a Brazilian artist whose work lives in the intersection of imagination, nostalgia, and color. I grew up surrounded by animals, forests, and a strong cultural heritage that shaped my sense of beauty and storytelling. Art has always been part of my family’s walls, a presence that guided me to transform memory into image.
In recent works, I’ve been diving into a visual language born from the aesthetics of the internet: stretched drawings, distorted shapes, and commercial design elements reimagined through a fresh, refined lens. Each piece becomes a dialogue between harmony and tension — between what’s remembered and what’s newly invented.
In 2021, I presented my first solo exhibition at Galeria Savta in Brasília. My work has also been shown in group exhibitions in Seoul, Milan, and New York, expanding this dialogue between cultures, mediums, and the emotional power of color.
